Video Art History Spring 2008, Ten week course What are we watching and working on in the Video Art class? This class also goes by the title: One of the Best Classes I Have Ever Taught.
This course provides a historical survey of artistic experimentation with video imaging technology. Topics covered include relationships between art and technology, popular culture and television, social critique and identity politics, and institutional presentation.
Digital Presentation for Artists Fall 2007, Winter 2008, Spring 2008, Ten week course This course will introduce students to a variety of methods for using the computer as a tool to create artwork and design a professional online portfolio. Software covered includes Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver.
Basic Digital Photography Fall 2007, Winter 2008, Ten week course This studio course lays the foundation for study in photography by exposing students to the historical and practical developments in the art of photography. Students learn to use digital still cameras to make exposures, process images in Photoshop, and print photographs.
